Autocross Season Started in Ukraine
On May 18–19, the first stage of the Ukrainian Autocross Championship “XADO Maximum” took place on a highway in Cherkaska Lozova near Kharkiv for the 23rd time.
This year, the competition was held in four classes: one touring car class and three buggy classes. Piloting was complicated by dry weather — the track was very dusty. However, it added even more visual appeal to the competition. Both racers and spectators consider the track in Cherkaska Lozova as the most interesting in Ukraine. According to Oleksii Besedin who is the race organizer and director of the XADO Motorsport team, this is a very fast track with a height difference of up to 46 meters. The speed of cars on it can reach 130–150 km/h.
Approximately such speeds were registered on the track during the event in which the multiple champion of Ukraine Mykola Chmykh took part in the new class, 8C. His competitors were famous domestic race drivers, Oleksandr Saliuk and Mykola Sobolev. In addition, this year Cherkaska Lozova once again welcomed young racers who came here to showcase their skills. So the audience certainly had something to see and someone to cheer for.
